Haiti's art embodies skateboarding norms in many similar ways. An example is a high percentage of artists in Haiti will never make money from their work. As skateboarders, a high percentage of us will not make money or benefit from out work. This must have a connection with both cultures passion for the passion not for money. Haiti is low on resources and skateboards don't have money but we still manage to for fill our passions.

The governmental structure of Haiti is corrupted and not pushing for growth and development of the island. Where as skateboarding culture has no structure, not one leading or ruling, but manages to evolve in both the level of quality and community wise.An example is Haitians vote, but the leader or president is ultimately predetermined regardless of the votes. Soon after said leaders usually flee the island and never return while they promised for change. Where as skateboards have no leaders or structure, but the community is what pushes the culture not some gold digging ass wipes making false promises. Both cultures have sparse resources, some more than others, but each is moving towards different directions that differ from each other. Its sad that Haiti doesn't have a leader willing to make change for the greater good. But that's what separates our culture. How we want to change.
